AJ is leading International Friends (IF) at NOVA Community College which is a group of students and volunteers that meet for conversation and social events. Some of the activities include: weekly conversation group and/or bible study, celebrations of American holidays and International culture, dinners in American homes (Supper Club), leadership development, sports activities and events to share with others.
AJ has a burning heart for the lost and to reach international students In Northern Virginia.

The Lamb Center

The Lamb Center is a daytime drop-in shelter for individuals (our guests) who are experiencing homelessness in Fairfax, Virginia. As a Christian ecumenical community of faith, the Lamb Center works on behalf of all people experiencing poverty or homelessness regardless of race, religion, creed, or any other status. The core values of Christianity are central to the Lamb Center's ministry. Our mission is to live out the compassionate heart of Christ by serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness and our vision is to be a community where every individual is known, cherished, and has a place to call home.
Life Enrichment Center

Deeply passionate about the impact of literacy, Kevin’s vision is to enrich the lives of underserved children and families in Hampton Roads, and throughout the commonwealth of Virginia. The LEC, a non-profit organization established in 2003, provides literacy tutoring to elementary students from Title I schools throughout the Virginia Commonwealth who are reading below their grade level. The goal is to help these students become proficient readers by the end of the third grade. Students who are reading at or above their grade level by the end of the third grade are four times more likely to graduate from high school.
Since 2007, approximately 2000 elementary students have received one-to-one LEC literacy tutoring, and hundreds of LEC tutors meet with students for 1 to 2 hours weekly, teaching phonics, comprehension, sight words, grammar, and definitions.
For the Nations DC

For the Nations DC is a nonprofit ministry serving English language learners and their children in the Washington, DC, area.
We teach English to adults three days per week and offer child care for children ages 0 to 5 years old. We love engaging with students outside of class, whether it is sharing a meal or helping them navigate life in the United States. We unashamedly proclaim the gospel as the only hope of healing for the brokenness we all experience.
Foster the Family DC

Foster the Family exists to support and encourage foster and adoptive families, mobilize and equip the community and church for foster care and adoption, and advocate for vulnerable children. We do this by providing immediate emergency support through resources and supplies and ongoing, holistic support through community and care.

Maoz Israel is a Messianic Jewish organization based in Central Israel, dedicated to reaching the lost in Israel since 1976. Maoz Israel works to strengthen believers because we believe that a strong believing community creates a powerful witness and is a proven way for the Gospel to flourish in Israel.

Lenny has been the pastor of New Life Church Oberursel since 2017. His heart is to see people being ushered into a genuine encounter with God and to see their lives being transformed by the power of God. He is married to Angi since 2019 and together they have one child.

Pastor Caleb Mcdonald, his wife Esther, and their three children moved to Potsdam (Germany) to start DiscoveryKirche in 2019. They are faithfully laboring and building God's kingdom in one of the most unreached places in Germany. Their heart is for the people of Potsdam to get to know Jesus, discover who He is, and learn about God's great plan for their lives.

After graduating Bible college, nearly three years into marriage, our family set out to the Middle East. We first landed in Jordan to take a season to study the Arabic language, and it was there we had our son Oliver, the best surprise ever. Then, after a year and a half of laboring in Jordan and amongst Syrian refugees there, we transitioned to Iraq. Iraq is our promise land, we had spent nearly 5 years in prayer for this nation anticipating the day the door would open to us to labor here. We’ve been living in Iraq a little over a year now proclaiming the good news, serving an amazing NGO and laboring alongside 3 other families. We are loving it and are so excited about all God is doing in this nation.
Alex & Juana Cotrina

Raised in a cardboard home in Peru, Alex Cotrina has come far to work in ministry full time. His vision is to raise up a generation of disciples in his own country and beyond. After meeting in college, Alex and his wife Juana, serve together in ministry. Their whole team is driven by the passion to equip pastors and youth leaders so they can spread the gospel of Jesus. Among many other things, they conduct huge youth conferences with thousands of kids in attendance, reaching the younger generation of Peru. They also work with a variety of different churches all around the country to identify and raise up young leaders to continue the Great Commission.

In 2023, HTC is hitting the road! We’ll offer several short-term mission trips, each of which is designed to glean from the experience of believers abroad, encourage local churches around the world, and partner with them in sharing the Gospel and putting the practical love of Christ on display. So get your passports ready!

From June 17th-24th, 2023 a team from HTC (15 people max.) will minister alongside Pastor Alex Cortina and his church planting organization in Peru. We will serve the poor, preach the Gospel, encourage the local body of believers, but above all, make Christ known. This is an incredible opportunity to step out of our comfort zone and serve the people of Peru. No prior Missions experience is needed!
