• Community Outreach

  • The House DC // The House DC’s vision is to transform and empower the lives of inner city youth and their families through Jesus. Join us in blessing them by donating a gift through their Amazon wishlist (click here to access), allowing parents the opportunity to provide gifts for their children this Christmas.

  • Prison Fellowship // Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of prison inmates and their families with the love of Christ. Sponsor a child by providing gifts for him or her from their incarcerated parent – wrapped gifts can be placed in the lobby of HTC.

  • Patrick Henry Shelter // The Patrick Henry Shelter houses families and individuals who are homeless in the greater DC area. Join us in gifting both children and adult Christmas presents to bless those in need.

Our vision is to love and bless those in need – people near HTC, people in the DC metro area, and people in the rest of the world.

Releasing Children from poverty in Jesus' name

Compassion International is focused on the individual child and his or her development. We are unashamedly and singularly focused on developing children.

Each child we serve is ministered to personally, and each church partner we work with tailors its programs to meet the specific needs of the children in its community.

Embracing children is at the heart of who we are. We are advocates for children in poverty. And we commit to developing minds, bodies and spirits — in Jesus’ name.

After the event of hurricane Matthew you may be wondering about your sponsored child. It is not possible to connect with them immediately but you are welcome to donate to Compassion International’s relief efforts via this link.

We partner with Community Outreach Inc. to coordinate the event

Our church community provides the funds that pay for food and materials

We pack meals as a church after a Sunday morning worship service

Our last food packing event provided 30,000 meals that went to veterans in need

Releasing Children from poverty in Jesus' name

Helping Children Worldwide is strengthening communities in Sierra Leone, one of the poorest countries in the world, by providing vulnerable children and their families with opportunities for education, health care, and spiritual mentoring.

The programs at the Child Rescue Centre and Mercy Hospital are especially focused on education, family stability, maternal and infant mortality, and childhood malnutrition. By partnering with local government and child advocacy organizations in Sierra Leone, we help children and families achieve their wonderful, God-given potential.
