HTC Finance Manager (Join Our Team)

  • Position: Finance Manager
  • Purpose: Financial management and oversight of the church
  • Reports to: Director of Operations
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Job Type: Full-Time, 35-40 hours week

COVID-19 considerations: during the COVID-19 pandemic, all tasks will be assigned remotely. There will be minimal need to come to the church.

About this role:

The Finance Manager supports our Operations Team by ensuring the integrity of financial matters through proficiency in accounting, team leadership, effective process-building, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial administration and oversight
  • Oversee all financial accounting
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely financial records, including tracking key metrics
  • Equip staff team members and leadership with the necessary tools for effective management and establish clear systems for internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Manage the short term and long term cash flow
  • Work with leadership regarding short and long term financial planning and budgeting 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and Vestry
  • Coordinate systems for data collection and reporting (Quickbooks, Planning Center Online, Church Community Builder)
  • Use and fully integrate cloud-based applications (Dropbox and Google suite)
  • Manage communications of financial, pledge, and giving inquires and updates
  • Work with leadership to prepare annual budget
  • Lead and facilitate annual audit

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
  • CPA Preferred 
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar position (non-profit/church preferred)
  • Quickbooks preferred
  • Self starter who can work independently
  • Detail oriented with ability to add structure and process
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must pass criminal background check
